Concerned over privacy? It’s about time

Times Colonist – I left my electronic toys behind and went into the woods for a few days last week. I won’t say where or what I did there, because that’s nobody’s business. I gather this would be difficult for some people – those with a passion for using devices like Facebook to tell everyone what they doing, what their latest “status” is and what they’re feeling at any given moment. Let me say at once that I have real friends on Facebook. But I seem, as well, to have gathered a crowd of friends of friends whom I’ve never met and probably never will. If some of them are super minds or supermodels, that’s probably regrettable. But a lot of them seem to be making silly faces or rude gestures and I’m not tempted to find out more about them….
